Nintendo's 3DS XL sold a little under 10,000 units in its first day of sale, according to a report from Games Industry.Chart-Track doesn't typically give out hardware figures and this hasn't come directly from Nintendo, but writing on GI Johnny Minkley
states, "I understand XL shifted a figure a little shy of five figures, outselling the original 3DS (whose total is based on seven days' data) by a factor of just over 2:1."
The 3DS XL officially went on sale on Saturday, meaning this new number represents just one day's worth of sales.
Minkley also claims that sales of the original 3DS are slightly down compared to numbers from the week before.
This comes following news that the
3DS XL sold 200,000 units over its launch weekend in Japan.
