Today marks a major change in the way that video games are rated in the United Kingdom as PEGI - a strictly commercial organisation - takes over completely from the semi-governmental BBFC.What this actually means is that PEGI ratings - 3, 7, 12, 16, 18 - will be stuck on the front of all games. Publishers will submit their games plus a ratings cribsheet to PEGI in Europe, which will in turn issue a sticker unless...
...yes, unless as
Mark pointed out in his feature:
"PEGI games expected to get a rating of 12 or higher will go to the UK's Video Standards Council for final judgement. The VSC is one of the organisations that oversees the BBFC. It's a glorious circle of bureaucracy!"
