Looks like the iOS version of Rock Band is still on the rocks - the mobile game will no longer be sold on the iTunes App Store after July 31st, owing to the end of a licensing agreement between Electronic Arts and developer Harmonix.
EA previously sent out warnings to users of Rock Band iOS a couple of months ago, stating that the game would cease to function at all after May 31st. This was quickly retracted and explained as an error. This new notice, on EA's website as well as the iTunes App Store, explains that the game will simply be removed from sale.
The company insists that the game will continue to work if you've previously downloaded the app. But new songs cannot be purchased from the online store. Previously purchased songs will still be accessible. It is recommended that users back up their game to iCloud to avoid losing the game after the July 31st cutoff date.
