The GameGadget digitial download store has gone live. Following in the footsteps of iTunes (you can tell it's doing that - the phrase 'iTunes-style' keeps popping up in the announcement) the store offers downloads of games for the GameGadget handheld.Although it's not exclusively focused on retro titles, older games are getting a good hard push. Games include
Sonic 3D Blast,
Alex Kidd,
Golden Axe,
Altered Beast,
Ecco the Dolphin,
Shinobi and
VectorMan, with prices ranging from 99p to £2.99.
The machine costs £59.99 and comes loaded with 10 SEGA games. It also holds audio, eBooks and images, but not too much of them as the storage adds up to 1.7GB - though you can top that up with SD cards.
