Live and Learn! Dreamcast mascot swansong Sonic Adventure 2 is apparently heading to XBLA and PSN this October, after a listing for the game appeared briefly on Xbox.com.It's since been removed, but not before a
hawk-eyed gamer took a snapshot of the page, revealing some details about the re-release. It seems like it will be a high-definition remastering of the game, rather than a straightforward port. The release date is set for 3rd October 2012.
Content downloads and leaderboards are planned, but the two-player multiplayer races look like they're being kept offline. Sorry kids, no online modes to be found here. Whilst the listing was on Microsoft's website, one of the screenshots shows a Circle button - pretty much confirming a PS3 version too.
It's difficult to tell if this is a remastering of the Dreamcast original or the Gamecube update
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, which included extra multiplayer modes. Thanks to the OCD nature of SPOnG's own resident
Sonic the Hedgehog super-fan (that's me), we can already tell that some extra grunt work has gone into the game - check out the new Sonic and Shadow life icons.
