Head of United Game Artists Tetsuya Mizuguchi has disclosed plans to release REZ into the arcades. The game will run on Namco’s incredible Over Reality Booster System arcade platform, or ORBS for short.
REZ, the acclaimed musical shooter, from UGI, has had a successful run on the PlayStation 2, and it would seem that Namco is willing to host the game on its ground breaking arcade platform.
With ORBS, as you can see from the pictures (courtesy of Impress Game Watch) you sit in a completely enclosed space and look at a projected hemispherical image. Cool stuff, and just perfect for the sense of complete immersion one feels when playing REZ.
