Watch out, Pachter's About! The Wedbush Morgan analyst is speaking again, and this time his crystal ball-gazing focuses on recent rumours of the PlayStation 4. He believes that Sony won't try to block gamers from playing pre-owned games, as it would cause retailers to riot."It isn't really in Sony's or Microsoft's best interests to block used games," he said as Gamesindustry.biz happily listened and took notes. "It would benefit Activision and EA slightly, and would hurt GameStop a great deal.
"If Sony unilaterally did this, I could see GameStop refusing to carry their console and sales of the PS4 would therefore suffer." He added that neither Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony are "stupid enough to do this unilaterally" nor "evil enough to do it together."
Thanks for the advice, Pach.
