Nintendo has released a brand new Kid Icarus: Uprising trailer, and with it comes some major angel-on-angel action! In the four-minute long video, which pretty much details everything you ever wanted to know about the game, Pit is slugging it out with a dark version of himself in an epic sword showdown.
Details of the gameplay, along with features such as vehicles and weapon upgrades, are showcased in the trailer, along with a heck of a load of retro fanservice. Nintendo may be treating this almost like a new IP, but it hasn't forgotten the original 8-bit NES game that launched Pit into cult gaming stardom.
Bosses from the NES Kid Icarus feature in 3D form here, including Hewdraw, Pandora, Thanatos and Medusa - each with their own voice overs. A return of the Eggplant baddie (that turned Pit into a vegetable in the original game) is matched by a modern-day associate - the Tempura Wizard.
