On the back of a slight slump in sales in the roller-coaster American market, Nintendo has announced that it will be upping the shipments of GameCube hardware to the region.
Increasing on its initial projections by over 30% Nintendo said that it is intending to ship 520,000 machines to America by March of Next year. This follows Nintendo selling all of its initial launch allocation of 740,000 units. "It looks like we will be able to ship more to North America, where we have sold all of our planned 740,000 units already," stated Nintendo today.
In addition, Nintendo announced that it is intending to sell a colossal 4,520,000 GameCube consoles across the world by the end of March, a figure that would unobtainable without a European release at the start of the month.
