No recall and disagreement over enforcement unravels
Following yesterday’s news that the Dutch government blocked the sale of 1.3 million PSone consoles due to unacceptably high levels of kidney-damaging metal cadmium being found, Sony has reacted to the situation.
The company will be replacing cabling in the machines in order to get them shipped to retail for early December. Sony expressed reservations on the Dutch handling of the situation, and of its interpretation of health guidelines.
Sony also said that there will be no recall of consoles already sold to the public.
