Namco Bandai has plans to absorb its Namco Tales Studio subsidiary, following board approval at a meeting on 29th November. The studio, responsible for the Tales series of RPGs, will be dissolved as a result.
If approved, the absorption will take place on 1st January 2012. No reason was given for the proposal, according to a report on Andriasang - the Tales series is incredibly popular in its native Japan, but has considerably less interest on an international level.
