Capcom's Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is getting a Japanese movie adaptation. Hold back those groans though, as the trailer has hit the internet ahead of its launch, and it's looking like an incredibly faithful courtroom romp.
The film is being directed by famous Japanese auteur Takashi Miike, responsible for the movie adaptation of SEGA's Yakuza (Ryu ga Gotoku) series as well as horror flicks Audition and Ichi the Killer. In the trailer you can see Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Maya and Mia Fey as well as side characters Larry Butz and Lotta Hart.
When I heard that Capcom's popular courtroom drama series was to receive the silver screen treatment, I knew we were in for a great time. But after watching that trailer, I have now done this. Watch it below - the film's coming out in 2012.
