SquareSoft’s PlayOnline portal is gearing up for the first round of beta-testing of the hotly-anticipated online RPG, Final Fantasy XI.
Scheduled to begin tomorrow after a series of slight delays, Japanese RPG fans will start hunting for bugs in the PlayOnline network infrastructure, and the initial Final Fantasy XI code.
Square has stated that it intends to release Final Fantasy XI in the first half of next year in Japan. American and European release dates are unknown, as both regions are still waiting to get their hands on FFX.
