UK Video Game Chart: FIFA Resists RAGE for Top Spot

We are a nation of football-mad rioters, so it should be no surprise that the behemoth that is FIFA 12 is unmoved in the UK Video Game Chart this week. It sits at the #1 spot for its second week in a row, and has claimed 13th in the all-time weekly unit sales chart as well.

But EA's kickabout did see some competition in the form of id's highly anticipated story shooter RAGE. Namco Bandai pulled a rabbit out of a hat too, with cult Japanese masterpiece Dark Souls debuting at #3, proving that there is some justice in this world.

NBA 2K12 lands just outside the Top 10 at #12, while Konami's El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron has finally entered the Top 40 this week after a month on sale. I guess people have managed to adjust to the rather obtuse title after all.
