Following the raft of issues that PC gamers have had with the new post-apocalyptic shooter RAGE since its release last week, developer id has pushed out an update through Steam that will hopefully make the game a bit more playable. It would seem that a lot of people were having major issues with graphics, even on high end PCs, that rendered
RAGE pretty much buggered. The game will always default to lower video settings so it works on as many systems as possible, but an issue in the code meant that it wouldn't automatically switch up on better rigs.
The full details of the update are available here but be warned – it's quite a long read. It's good to see that id has worked hard to make sure that the game now functions for PC owners. Keep an eye out for our opinion;
RAGE has been pretty well recieved worldwide and SPOnG's own review will be available later today.
