Blizzard has finally rolled out the long-awaited Friends and Family beta test for the upcoming hugeness that is Diablo III. Invites have dropped into inboxes worldwide and unlike many betas, this one isn't covered by an all-encompassing NDA. Folks are allowed to say what they like about it and are already taking the opportunity to do so.
Set twenty years after the events of its predecessor, Diablo III sees players returning to Sanctuary to yet again save the world from evil. Walkthroughs of the beta are already springing up online if you fancy getting a sneaky look at the game that is still yet to have an official release date.
The next step is a public beta test which Blizzard assures gamers will come sooner rather than later. Fans of the series are already clamouring to get invites but be warned – there are scammers aplenty offering the chance to get involved. Do NOT send anyone your battle.net login details, no matter how desperate you may be to play. Just wait for the official announcement, which you'll also hear from us here at SPOnG.
