3DS Sells 215,000 in Japan Following Price Cut
Nintendo has reportedly sold between 207,000 and 215,000 units of its 3DS handheld in Japan since its official price cut began last week.

Nikkei posted sales of 207,000 units yesterday from 8th - 14th August, while Enterbrain published its own figures of 214,821 units shortly afterwards, covering the same time period. The console's price was officially cut by 10,000 yen on the 11th.

It's a shot in the arm that Nintendo desperately needed, as sales flagged following the 3DS's second week on sale in the country. Last week's Media Create figures had places sales at a depressing 4,000 units.

Today, the 3DS has enjoyed its second highest weekly total, narrowly beating its second-week figures. From launch to the 14th August, the system has enjoyed a sales total of 1,521,326 units.

I think 3rd party support has been relatively good, really looking forward to Resident Evil Revelations, this is a game made from the ground up for the 3ds and will be a return to form i think. Its early days yet, there are a lot of good games in the pipeline
