The London Evening Standard has discovered one police constable who is prepared to stand up for Pac-Man and board games, while damning GTA for the recent London riots.

The LES states that an unnamed police person went into analysis mode with:

"Go home, get a takeaway and watch anything that happens on TV," one constable advised. "These are bad people who did this. Kids out of control. When I was young it was all Pacman and board games. Now they're playing Grand Theft Auto and want to live it for themselves."

Amazing.

If some kid gets brain damage because he jumped and head butted a block I suppose Mario is a fat evil little s**t? In Mario's defence though there was no question mark on the block so it is not his fault...

Farmer sues Nintendo over Legend of Zelda because children are constantly kicking his chickens to see if a huge number of chickens will come to their defence...

or we could go with a simple classic... Parents sue NeverRealm studio's over Mortal Kombat because "kid dies on train tracks after his friend threw him in front of a train and screamed "Fatality"

In short this is just a half-assed attempt at saying "Parents... it is your fault your children are out of control" without receiving negative backlash so If this Constable is going to speak out.. at least do it without your tail being between your legs and speak your mind? don't be shy....

Parents should regulate not only what their children play on their consoles... but also have a damn clue about who they hang around with and what they do...

Seriously getting sick of people blaming video games...

Yeah, right. So GTA explains the riots in the '70s and '80s then. Idiot.

Anyone else see the grand theft auto v official webpage? I typed in http://gtav.com and a website pops up now for GTA V. They had on there that the game will be released in 2012, and set in Los Angeles. I really hope they don't do LA for the game, I prefer something overseas so the game has a different feeling. Though if they did do LA it would be cool to have some rappers and cool actors in the game. Slap around a few of those bums!

The constable is quite right in saying that GTA was fully responsible for the riots. The bit he forgot to say was that all the police force was also playing GTA to start the unrest by apparently unlawfully killing him in their usual trigger happy way http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/aug/09/mark-duggan-police-ipcc .Charles de Menezes did not play GTA but he suffered at the hands of GTA, he should have got some GTA practice in . David Cameron who is sponsored by Coke also plays GTA whilst smoking his bong and selling his drugs http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-435393/Exclusive-Cameron-DID-smoke-cannabis.html
The constable forgot to mention that the rioters where playing GTA on their PSP's at the same time as they where rioting, showing that the rioters where being naughty but they had good multitasking skills.
