Gears of War 3 Gets "Casual" Mode
Gears of War 3, aaaaaawesome hardcore gaming yeeeeeeeeah! BromCom of the decade! Teeth and guts and guns and... wait, what? A Casual multiplayer mode?

Apparently so.

According to USA Today, "The game's executive producer Rod Fergusson and design director Cliff Bleszinski broke the news during a raucous Comic-Con panel Thursday afternoon."

Fergusson said, "For those who haven't played the previous games, "(Gears) Three is the perfect one to get into because it's the easiest to play."

Apparently, "Players who have played Gears games online previously or participated in the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta will not be able to access the casual mode, Fergusson said."

Cute, eh?

In other words... Gears of War online but without the elitists who think that they can develop an ego through a video game (which of course will never translate into their personal lives due to too many insecurities).

This mode already sounds promising....

I like this, and i think more games should rank players into groups that fit them, COD is the worst for pitting you against whoever is on-line, with no regard to your skill set and as such can make the game very unenjoyable at times, Gears too I remember being on one match where i watched a group keep shooting down the same guy not killing him but not letting him recover for the entire match, because he wasnt on par with them...

so the people who aren't very good online (like me) are stuck playing with elitists if they've played Gears1 or 2 online? even if it was only for 2 mins?

@Daz

I wonder about this too because god forbid it only took me 2 minutes to realise that the gears of war community was enough to kill this game for me in terms of playing online...
I was never into Modern warfare or Halo but so many people tell me that they are the same.. basically a bunch of 14 year olds going "oh ma gawddddd!! oh ma gawdddd!!" and continue on to try and order others to do what they are doing so i think many online games should take this approach as I honestly would love to play the likes of Gears (and other games) online with a group of people who can actually enjoy themselves instead of losing their one and only pube due to stressing out..
