In a recent interview with UK games trade bible MCV, Acclaim general manager Andrew Sheldon said that Burnout, the latest killer app for PlayStation 2, may soon be headed for other platforms.
When pressed on this point, Sheldo said, "It is currently exclusive to PlayStation 2, but there may be other versions on other formats in the future," confirming our theory that no third party game of any calibre will be platform exclusive.
When asked about a sequel to the game, formerly dubbed Shiny Red Car by the development team, Sheldon said, "It would be premature to reveal details." Reveal details? This answer surely confirms that a sequel is well under way at Criterion.
