It's July 4th. All our American pals are celebrating their decision not to take soccer or sausages seriously, and that holiday also means it's time for a new PS4 rumour. Or rather a Sony Kinect... or rather both.
This one comes from DigiTimes and smacks the idea of '10 year life-cycle' upside the face.
"Sony will have Taiwan-based partners begin production of PlayStation 4 (PS4) featuring body movement-based control like Kinect at the end of 2011 for launch in 2012, according to Taiwan-based component makers."
Says the DigiTimes report. It adds some detail with the idea that Foxconn and Pegatron Technology, will produce "at least 20 million units, the sources indicated."
PS4? Doubtful. A Kinect-like device for PlayStation 3? Much, much more like it.
