Sony has announced a PlayStation-branded 3D TV, in an attempt to get more gamers to adopt the company's stereoscopic philosophy.
Jack Tretton revealed the new displays as a means to fit within dorm rooms and bedrooms, allowing affordable access to 3D entertainment. The best part about this particular brand of TV though, is that it removes the splitscreen in local multiplayer.
The TV detects which player is which and produces a full-screen image to their glasses.
Sony is planning a $499 bundle which will include a PlayStation 3D TV, a pair of 3D glasses, an HDMI cable and a copy of Resistance 3.
