Nintendo Accused of Selling "Child Porn"
Nintendo and Tecmo have not been having the breast week as Dead or Alive: Dimensions is accused of containing "child pornography."

The 3DS game is already banned in Sweden, Denmark and Norway "following claims it may breach Swedish child pornography laws," reports the Sydney Morning Herald. The contention is that characters such as Ayane and Kasumi are described as under 18 years of age, yet players can choose to "look up characters' dresses in certain poses" in a photography mode.

The furore has led to Australia getting het up over the fact that Dead or Alive: Dimensions has been rated with a PG classification in the country. Nintendo, which distributes the game in PAL territories, naturally defended itself.

“The game contains a wide variety of fictional characters which depict Japanese style cartoon images some of which are female fighters. This is not classified as child porn,” said a spokesperson for Nintendo Australia.

The Australian Classification Board rated the game with the advance warning that it contains “mild violence and sexualised gameplay”. But no child porn.

So, if some weirdos do get their jollies looking up the virtual skirts of virtual girls (of any age), where's the victim in the crime?
