Beckham signs for the Cube as Rage ink Nintendo deal

And right at the last minute

UK-based Rage has announced that it has concluded a deal with Nintendo which will see the company produce an as yet unspecified number of games for the GameCube console.

The first title to be confirmed is a version of the David Beckham licensed football game, David Beckham Soccer

Managing Director of Rage, Paul Finnegan said "We are delighted to have secured this agreement with Nintendo as it gives Rage the opportunity to work with all three leading players in the console market. We look forward to bringing a range of high quality and compelling games to the Nintendo GameCube platform."

Rage stated that it intends to begin shipping GameCube titles before the end of 2002.
