Sony PSP2 Gets Latin Name as E3 Plans Leak Again
With E3 just around the calendar corner, and Sony preparing its five hour press conference, we're all expecting that the NGP (aka PSP2) will be front and centre. We're also expecting it to get a less sterile name than 'New Generation Portable'.

Apparently, and as is as traditional with Sony E3 reveals as Santa coming down your chimney at Xmas, the name has been leaked. Another 'trusted source' has come forward but won't be named.

The leak has then been removed from the internet. The leaker has even called themselves stupid. But nevertheless it persists.

So, the name?

PlayStation Vita. As in 'Rye Vita' or 'Aqua Vita'. The word itself is Latin for 'Life'.

Vita is the internal development name for the PSP2 in the same way the Nitro was the same for DS, Dolphin for GameCube etc.

Nothing particularly exciting, it's unlikely that the name will stick.

Remember that MAG was supposed to be an internal developer name as well
