European speculation that the GameCube will not launch until September 2002 is starting to gain momentum as UK trade magazine MCV casts serious doubts.
When the magazine asked a prominent and unnamed industry figure it was told, “Europe is not a priority for Nintendo. The company needs to feed Japan and the U.S. first. The fact that Nintendo Europe has no fixed dates, shipping details, forecasts, pricing details, etc., just says that we are not a priority.”
Nintendo is still sticking to its guns and assuring us that the GameCube will indeed be ready for consumer launch in Spring of next year.
More as we get it.
