In sales news that will probably only surprise those that put massive stock in Combat of Giants, it seems that Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition has become the first Nintendo 3DS title to smash the 1 million mark worldwide.
The stereoscopic brawler debuted at #4 in the UK Video Game Chart during the 3DS launch week, and stands as the most popular game on the platform to date. We're not surprised - it is stonkingly good.
Capcom's happy. In a statement, the publisher said that, "in capturing both new fans and longtime fans of the series, we were able to reach the one million unit mark for this title.
“As always, we at Capcom will continue to pursue our ‘single content multiple usage’ strategy by making advancements on new hardware to maximise sales, while leveraging our brands to bring maximum satisfaction to as many of our users as possible."
Marvellous. Well done, etc.
