Nintendo Recommends 3DS System Update
Black screen error messages just won't go away.
Relax! Don't panic! Nintendo is aware of the mysterious black screen error messages that occur on its 3DS system, and has suggested users fix the problem by downloading a new firmware update.
The hardware company issued a statement that reads, "if anyone is experiencing any problems with their Nintendo 3DS console, we recommend that in the first instance they download and install the latest system update, now available online."
Just like the error message however, if that doesn't work Nintendo recommends that you call their Customer Services hotline to try and further troubleshoot the problem.

I just checked an there is no new system update, just the one that was released just before the launch date. We've seen this crash once on one of our 3 systems and that has the latest firmware.
I'm more concerned about Lego Star Wars 3 which crashes more times than <insert something here that crashes a lot>.

What is that 3DS? It's got black on the top and bottom, yet the circle pad and the other buttons are red. Am I the only one that's noticed this? What 3DS is this? Was it customized?

@LeRulez - I think that's the lighting. The screen is displaying a white message on a black background, but it's tinted red. The circle pad is grey in reality but probably picking up the dodgy lighting.

Yah, what is up with that? I dought nintendo would be doing custom ones when it hasn't even been out for even a week. I think it might have been photoshoped.

ive have never gotten thay black screen error over here in australia so i can't help yuo guys there
