Sony Confirms UK Motorstorm Apocalypse Delay
Sony Computer Entertainment is to follow the lead set by its Japan-based bosses as it delays the release of Motorstorm Apocalypse for PS3.

A spokesman for SCEE in the UK has stated, "Although we have shipped the game into the channel last week, given that we are able to do so, we have chosen to postpone the launch in the UK.

He added, "We are shocked and saddened to see the impact of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and our thoughts are with all those affected, including our colleagues within the Sony family, living and working throughout Japan.

"We are very conscious of the parallels between these events and the underlying theme in Motorstorm and are doing everything we can to be as sensitive as possible to the situation. Although the game itself is already in distribution, we are ceasing any further shipments and removing as much of the marketing materials as possible."

Motorstorm Apocalypse heavily features earthquakes in urban environments.

I am extremely angered over this on many levels. Sweden are still launching tomorrow without hassel. Only the UK is being withheld next to Japan! Why UK? Why are we being punished for surport? Wouldnt it make more sense to release so people understand the scale of the disaster more? Sony sadly instead have chosen to treat the UK market as low priority as usual.
I personnal find the concept of hiding a event a complete disrespect of memory. People should be aware, not kept in the dark. I am sure many films will still be released fine...
