Sony Working on a PlayStation Tablet
This could very well be Sony's second worst-kept secret after its Xperia Play gaming phone with Ericsson - reports are now cementing the idea of the company going ahead with a tablet device as well.

The device is codenamed the S1, and is said to be fully PlayStation certified. That means a range of PSOne titles and other associated games will be playable on it. It'll run the upcoming Android 3.0 software, have a 9.4 inch touch screen and a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. The interface is being designed by the Sony Vaio team.

However, with rumblings that PlayStation Network purchase history can't be carried over to these Android OS platforms (you'll have to rebuy all those classics), we're not sure if 'fully PlayStation certified' is really appropriate. Instead, emphasis is being placed on the Qriocity service, which covers PSN as part of Sony's greater network integration strategy.

The S1 will apparently be out this September for $599. First one to reference Sony at E3 wins a virtual cookie.
