Tokyo Game Show Attendance Lower than Expected
The Autumn 2001 Tokyo Game Show, which shed light on many upcoming products from major software houses, reached an overall attendance figure of 129,626. The number of visitors was up by almost ten percent on last year’s show, but the expected figure of approximately 150,000 was optimistic in retrospect.

The Tokyo Game Show was recently modified from a bi-annual event to an Autumn-only event, held once a year, in mid-October. The now-annual show is hopefully going to result in increased attendances due to a larger number of developer appearances and games on show.

So it’s not all bad, then.
