54 year old allegedly beds 13-year old he 'Wed' in Net game
54 year-old John W. Phillips of Fitchburg, Massachusetts faces jail on 11 felony charges following allegedly having sex with a 13 year-old girl he 'married' in the online game Runescape.
The Detroit News reports Wayne County sheriff's corporal Ray Johnson as stating, "They got married in the game. Maybe he thought that was legitimate in real life. It's not."
Apparently, as the reports states, Phillips, who "doesn't have a criminal record, and it appears his only source of income comes from selling 'Magic: The Gathering' game cards", had sex with the unnamed teen three times before fighting extradition from New York.
The victim, whose mother "worked two or three jobs and wasn't home for extended periods of time" is said to be traumatised by the events.
Phillips awaits trial in Michigan.
