The publisher of Ninja Theory title Enslaved, Namco Bandai, has offered up some hope for the franchise's future following consumer response of the title back in October 2010.The Japanese publishing giant has delicately not ruled out a sequel to the offering from the Cambridge-based studio. The original release garnered favourable reviews from the gaming press but struggled with sales among other prominent releases at the time.
Lee Kirton, Namco Bandai marketing director, explained to MCV regarding the possibility of a sequel that: “I can’t discuss where we are in terms of a sequel, but we’re looking at reviews and feedback from the press and because of the gameplay and quality that Enslaved delivered, we see it as a great catalogue title going forward.”
Enslaved's struggles were seen by many as an indicator of the problems facing new properties in the current market.
