Konami has launched a Facebook promotion to tie in with the upcoming release of the latest in the Silent Hill series - Downpour. Called "Be Buried in Silent Hill!", the promo provides the opportunity for fans to submit concept art of their own burial sculpture. This may then appear in the graveyard of the official release of
Silent Hill: Downpour.
Contributions have to be original works rather than established designs such as huge knife-wielding Pyramid Head or
Silent Hill 3's Heather Mason. The top six will be posted on the dedicated Silent Hill Facebook page from February 10th - 16th. Three will be chosen as competition finalists.
Silent Hill: Downpour sees former inmate Murphy Pendleton stranded in Silent Hill after surviving the crash of his prison transport vehicle. Players must guide Pendleton through a variety of puzzles and encounters with Silent Hill's notorious otherworldly creatures. Melee combat will be present, allowing Pendleton to use objects from glass bottles to wooden chairs and will offer side quests in addition to the game's main storyline that will (according to the press release) appeal to long-term
Silent Hill fans.
Those with talented hands can check how to enter the contest
here. Another way to think of how a person's name can appear on a headstone after all.
