While Nintendo and many third-party publishers are remaining painfully vague about which 3DS games will actually be available on day 1, MCV claims it has confirmation of eight games due alongside the 3DS on March 25th.Four of them are a pretty safe bet, having come direct from a Ubisoft release schedule:
Asphalt 3D, Rayman 3D, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars 3D and
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D (we're hoping publishers' need to put '3D' in the name of every 3DS title will evaporate soon).
MCV states that retail sources have also confirmed
Nintendogs + cats,
Street Fighter IV,
PES 2011 and
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars for day 1 launch as well, however. While only eight titles were named, MCV is claiming that there will be '10+' titles available.
Nintendo is claiming 25-30 titles will be out for the 3DS over the 'launch window'. That window, however, is an unhelpful two months long. According to Nintendo it runs from the 3DS's actual launch on March 25th right through to E3 in early June. A list of those titles
can be found here.
