The almost completely backwardly compatible Nintendo 3DS will hit Europe before the USA, with a March 25th release date for the UK. The price for the system - which stands as $249.99 States-side is...

That's right. No pricing from the main event in Amsterdam. This, of course, is due to the fact that in Europe Nintendo can only recommend prices to retailers and not state retail prices as can occur in the USA.

The Nintendo site claims it is also backwards compatible with DSiWare titles, which is nice. Especially since I have one coming out soon....
The big question is - will they offer a "transfer your existing DSi Shop account to 3DS service." I really hope so.

Maybe you secretly don't hope so as those who purchase your game on DSi, will maybe have to re buy ;-).... I kid.

Well, I wouldn't buy it again for 3DS as there will be no enhancements for running DS games on the system.
I'm just hoping I can get a Euro release date pretty soon so people can spend their last DSi points on it before upgrading to 3DS.
US release is on Monday. Spong editors - I'll trade you a positive review/plug for some inside info on "soon to be announced" gaming hardware...
