The PSP title in Square Enix's Fabula Nova Crystallis series, once known as Final Fantasy Agito XIII, has had a name change - it will now be known as Final Fantasy Type 0.Director Hajime Tabata took the stage at the company's 1st Production Dept. Premier fan event in Tokyo to announce the name change. He stated that although he liked the
Agito name, the title had to be changed because ultimately the game didn't have an awful lot to do with the
Final Fantasy XIII series.
As a result, however, Tabata noted that he hopes to turn
Type 0 into a
Final Fantasy series in and of itself. Fans will be pleased.
Final Fantasy Type 0 will be released this summer in Japan, and is apparently big enough to come on two UMD discs. Oh, and there will be over 30 speaking characters, if you're into that sort of thing.
