Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition will feature friend codes for online play, pretty much confirming that Nintendo's 3DS won't be changing how you connect to the internet. The details were discovered in a recent Famitsu magazine, which stated that Capcom's portable brawler will include custom matches, random matchmaking and friend battles online. In order to play these modes however, you're going to need to input your pal's code, which consists of a long line of numerical figures.
It is unknown whether the friend codes will be console-wide or if users will be handed a different code for each game, but it's a safe bet that Nintendo won't be messing with the setup the DS had if it's not willing to ditch the feature entirely.
