PS3 Final Fantasy XIV Delayed
Best not to hold your breath for that PS3 version of Final Fantasy XIV - Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada has revealed that the project has been delayed as longtime series producer Hiromichi Tanaka steps down.

The PC version of the online RPG was released back in September, and was dogged with problems from the start. We didn't like it too much. In a rare statement to players on the game's Lodestone website, Wada stressed that the extra time is needed to make improvements to the PS3 version.

"It is not our wish to release a simple conversion of the Windows version in its current state, but rather an update that includes all the improvements we have planned," he writes. "For that reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of the PlayStation 3 version beyond the originally announced date of March 2011."

Naoki Yoshida is now acting as producer and director for FFXIV, while Tanaka has said that he will still aid development in "other capacities." No new time frame was given for the PS3 version to surface.
