The inevitable Splinter Cell sequel is under production at Ubisoft, but it's existence was confirmed by someone we didn't expect - fan favourite Jade Raymond, who has previously worked on the Assassin's Creed series.
Ubisoft Toronto is currently developing what's being referred to as 'Splinter Cell 6', the reveal of which was contained in a promotional video that was quietly released to the press yesterday. The core team behind Splinter Cell Conviction will be working on this new title with Raymond.
83 people have been hired at the rapidly expanding Toronto studio, which is also said to be developing a second title alongside Splinter Cell 6. Raymond said that work is "going on already" with concept artists, animators and audio directors creating material for the game.
