UK Video Game Charts: Black Ops 1 vs Kinect 4

Call of Duty Black Ops makes its inevitable way to the top of the UK All Formats charts this week, with Microsoft's Kinect controller seeing a healthy Number 4 for one of its games.

With two million sales in five days, Activision Blizzard's FPS benefits from a huge fanbase as well as an enormous amount of marketing and hype to rip into the charts at Number 1. This apparently sees the game outselling Modern Warfare 2 in the same period by 13%.

Fanboys start your engines because the Xbox 360 CoDBlops sold 55% versus the PS3's 42%. The biggest surprise there, given Activision's close relationship with Microsoft with shared launch marketing cash.

Interestingly, Microsoft's Kinect, which had Adventures as a pack-in, also seeing one game in the top 10 with Kinect Sports hitting Number 4.
