THQ Irradiates the Mississippi for New Homefront
Well, blame the North Koreans actually
THQ is to step up what it calls its "transmedia strategy" and what we call its "make money out of one idea by flogging it on different media... plan" with a novel and a 'miniseries' and a game sequel to Homefront, Danny Bilson announced.
Bilson was speaking at the International Game Developers Association 'Leadership Forum' in San Francisco on November 5th.
He told the audience that, "The sequel has new features and doesn't even deal with the same characters. It takes place on the other side of the Mississippi. Nobody knows what's going on over there because the North Koreans have irradiated the Mississippi with radioactive iodine and nobody can cross it without a hazmat suit. It's very interesting stuff."
