EA has confirmed the amount it paid for the UK mobile publisher Chillingo. The cost? Only $17-million.Recent estimates had put the company at a value of $20 million with EA adding that an additional $12 million in performance-based pay could be offered over the next three years.
The developer has experienced success with title
Cut the Rope passing 2 million in total sales. Its biggest, and probably most notorious title,
Angry Birds, was not included in the buyout as that game belongs to developer Rovio Mobile.
Guess the studio heads at Chillingo can chill out for just a little know then?
