Blizzard's Mike Morhaime: Leaving Date Announced
New Activision document has the facts
Mike Morhaime, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Blizzard Entertainment is set to leave Activision Blizzard on December 13th 2016 unless his contract is amended.
The news comes via a 'Form 8K' filed by Activision/Blizzard has released with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the USA. It's entitled, 'Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.'
The first fact is that his current employment agreement has been amended so that his contract "will expire on December 31, 2016, rather than July 31, 2013. His annual base salary was increased from $750,800 to $763,900 as of August 1, 2010."
More money for Mike. However, "Mr. Morhaime is no longer guaranteed a bonus under the Company’s Blizzard Bonus Plan. Mr. Morhaime’s maximum allocation percentage of the existing profit sharing pool established by the Company under the Blizzard profit sharing plan was increased from 5% to 6% (although the overall size of the profit sharing pool was not increased)."
Morhaime will also get options for more stock in the company.
