Fans of the tactical franchise set in a fictional World War-consumed European setting, Valkyria Chronicles, will be happy to hear that the third instalment in the franchise, Valkyria Chronicles 3, will come with pre-order bonuses.
The Japanese version of the game will ship with an item called the "Gallia Secret Document File 422" which consists of a booklet and a download code. Called the "Gallian Journal 1935", the booklet includes articles from the Gallian Journal, the in-game weekly magazine and includes a password for unlocking the character Aliasse who appeared in Valkyria Chronicles 2.
The download code will allow players to download Chapter 0: Kurt's First Campaign for free which details VC3's game protagonist Kurt Irving's first mission that takes place prior to the events in the main game. Players who clear this downloadable back-story will obtain a limited weapon that can then be used in the main campaign. Those who purchase the game via digital means will also have access to the DLC for Chapter 0: Kurt's First Campaign from January 27th - February 2nd.
The game is due for release in Japan in late January. Expect a Western release not too far behind.
