The original Soul Calibur was a smash hit in the arcades and on the Dreamcast.
The sequel has been in development for some time and is almost ready for arcade release. Namco’s support of the GameCube with triple ‘A’ titles is exactly what Nintendo needs.
A new character has been announced to join the line-up of fighters, Sophie’s younger sister Cassandra. Past favourites such as Taki and Asterisk are to return with a whole host of new moves and combos. Soul Calibur 2 will feature an 8-way run system where players can make the most of the 3D environments and out-manoeuvre their opponents attacks.
Soul Calibur 2 promises to deliver a satisfying fighting experience. We’ll bring you new screenshots and details as soon as they are released. Expect to see Soul Calibur 2 on the GameCube next year.
