A primary school teacher is preparing for a non-stop DanceDanceRevolution marathon that will aim to raise money for Cancer and Cerebral Palsy charities.Chris McGivern from The Oaks Primary School will set foot on a brand new
DDR X2 machine this Saturday at the Trocadero Centre in London's Piccadilly, to play a session lasting over 13 hours. The difficulty increases every five hours from Beginner to Expert, and his only respite will be a five-minute break every hour. If his life bar expires, he fails the challenge.
Guinness World Records will be in attendance to adjudicate any record-breaking activity, but the real focus is the support being given to the
Cancer Research UK and
Donate 2 Dylan charities. Konami and its European arcade distributor, Electrocoin Group, has volunteered the DDR X2 machine for the purposes of the event - the game isn't even available for play arcades yet.
Best of luck to Chris, and if you're in the area be sure to give him some support!
