Nintendo: One in Three UK Households Have Wii
One in three households in the UK have a Wii console inside, while over 11 million people own a Nintendo DS console.

This is according to data supplied by GfK Chart-Track, released by Nintendo this morning to support its plans for promoting its Christmas lineup. Such promotion involves, as with all good things, celebrities.

Actress Dame Helen Mirren will be the famous spokesperson for Wii Fit Plus, while X-Factor pop group JLS is to be the face of the upcoming Wii Party. Terry Wogan will be plugging Brain Training and New Super Mario Bros is to be accompanied by Louise and Jamie Redknapp.

Alexandra Burke, Olly Murs, Jedward and Ant and Dec are all mentioned as stars that will support Nintendo titles this holiday season - although scant few appear to be brand new games released between now and Christmas.

Will seeing Jedward's mountainous hair encourage you to buy the latest Wii or DS game? Let us know in the comments box below.
