Super Street Fighter 3D Edition Trailer Shows 3DS Tag Mode
A new trailer for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition demonstrates, in funky urban fashion, how the Nintendo 3DS' Tag Mode will work out in a real-world situation.

It has already been explained that the Tag Mode - a feature built into the 3DS firmware that third parties can take advantage of - will allow users to communicate with one another whilst the handheld is in a Sleep status. The trailer below gives a clear example of how that communication can work.

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition's use of the mode has passers-by engage in automatic battle whenever two 3DS machines are close by. A fight involving figures and icons of various characters occurs and a winner is decided before the connection between the devices is closed.

When you open your 3DS again, it updates you on the number of random fights you've had on your journey. It's uncertain whether the outcome of each automatic battle is decided at random, or whether SSFIV3DE (phew) save files will be compared to determine the best fighter that way, but it's still pretty cool.

Of course, a standard multiplayer mode is also included in the game, which works similarly to the 'New Challenger' feature in the Street Fighter IV arcade game. Watch the video below and enjoy the music. "Fight!"
