Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to Launch Mid-October
Sonic fans finally get to taste the neo-retro goodness.
After a lengthy delay, SEGA has revealed that the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I is mere weeks away.
The iPhone version of the retro-inspired platformer will hit the iTunes Store first on the 7th October. Wii owners will see it next on the Wii Shop Channel on 15th October (11th October for US), followed by the Xbox 360 Marketplace and PlayStation Network releases on 13th October (12th October on PSN for US).
It will set you back 1500 Wii Points, 1200 Microsoft Points or £9.99, depending on your digital distribution platform of choice.
This first episode of Sonic 4 was originally planned for a Summer release, but had suffered a delay until now to allow for more development time, following mixed reactions from the online community. We wonder if the changes made are enough to quell the wants and desires of the legions of Sonic fans out there...
